Poison ivy
The best remedy we have found is a medicinal soap called Tenchu. It can be purchased at pharmacies and some nurseries. It's not a silver bullet but is effective. Whenever working working outdoors it is wise remain conscious of this irritating plant. It can be identified by its 3 shiny red or green leaves and brown vines covered with tiny hair like roots. The oils are virtually indestructible and are present even when the plant is dormant and has no leaves. The best thing to do if you know you have been in contact with it is to wash vigorously and try to remove the oils from your skin. Severe cases can require a prescription of steroids to clear it up.
