Lawn mowing tips

Mistake! A lot of Home Owners cut their grass to short. Don't cut your grass too short, especially here in NH with our cool season grasses. Higher heights usually provide for a deeper root system, better looks, and is less prone to have invasive weeds, like crabgrass and clover.
Try to avoid mowing when the grass is wet.
Try not to remove more than one third of the grass height at any one cutting.
Mow your lawn in a different direction with each mowing. Altering the direction will assist grass to grow more erect and less likely to develop into a set pattern.
Keep your mower's blade sharp.
Change your mower's oil at least once during the mowing season.
Scrape the underside of your mowing deck frequently to prevent molds, fungus and disease.
